Chicago Fellows Program

The Chicago Fellows Program through Campus Outreach Chicago is a two-year program that trains and equips recent college graduates to advance the mission of God’s kingdom by building multi-ethnic leaders on the campus and the local church. Our aim is to transition young adults who have developed their leadership potential through dynamic ministry opportunities and have learned how God has uniquely designed to make an impact on the world for Christ.

The ideal candidate is a godly and teachable recent college graduate who has shown faithfulness, leadership, and a desire to live for Christ and His Kingdom.

Our program runs from August 2022 to July 2024 and consists of eight fellows (four women & four men). Its principal components are a paid internship, free housing, grafted onto the CO Chicago staff team and larger Campus Outreach movement, life on life ministry opportunities on the college campus and alongside our local church partners, seminary classes, and mentorship. The program is an intense and practical 24-month experience designed to prepare recent college grads to engage in seamless lives of purpose. This leadership development program equips leaders to have a thoughtful impact on the world through practical experiences.

What to expect.

Theological training.

You will attend seminary classes while also being trained by ministry leaders that will develop you in biblical literacy and gospel transformation in your personal life and ministry.
Life on Life Ministry.

Four days a week, you will have a ministry target, strategy, and staff partner to be with you at the University of Illinois at Chicago as you engage in life on life evangelism and discipleship.
Authentic community.

You will live with fellow Fellows and do ministry alongside our team, local churches, and students. Room and board is no cost to you, and the greatest benefit will be the lifelong relationships that you create and a vision to build it moving forward.
Multi ethnic Leadership.

You will be equipped by a multi-ethnic staff team, in a multi-ethnic ministry context. As a team we have over 40 years of ministry experience an a multi-ethnic ministry context, and our aim is to prepare you to be an effective minister in any context you are in.
Local church engagement.

You will experience being connected to a multi-ethnic church that is passionate about equipping Christians to worship God and reach Chicago to reach the world for Christ. Each week, you will be committed to attending the Sunday service and become an integral part of our local church partners.
Personal development.

You will receive mentorship, strategic growth check-ins, various ministry opportunities, weekly training and spiritual guidance. Our aim is you will grow in Chris-likeness, discover your unique design, and grow your vision as a lifelong spiritual leader.
